 To exploit advantages and potential

The Project with the development orientation of Dau Tieng district until 2040 must be consistent with Binh Duong province planning for the period 2021-2030, vision for 2050, and new rural district orientation for the period 2022-2025, to meet socio-economic development requirements of the province as well as Dau Tieng district.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Deputy Secretary of Dau Tieng District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, said that the district planning is based on sustainable development by utilizing existing strengths and specific locations to promote the urbanization process and socio-economic growth of the district. From there, the planning provides forecasts and strategic visions to maximize potential advantages, preserve culture - history, natural resources and unique characteristics of the district. “The spatial development orientation of the entire district includes urban and rural construction space and specific functional areas in a cohesive and harmonious direction so that Dau Tieng district becomes a spacious area of sustainable development, with good quality of life", Linh added.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, the district focuses on planning for industrial zones and sub-zones, handicrafts, commercial services, agricultural ecological zones, tourism, framework technical infrastructure systems, social infrastructure systems, identifying driving force areas for socio-economic development. The project is the legal basis for construction planning, urban and rural development in the district, building planning programs and proposing development policies, investment projects, and reasonable using of resources.

Dau Tieng district still has a lot of room for industrial development, in accordance with the province's general planning policy of bringing industry to the north. In the planning project, the entire Dau Tieng district is divided into five development zones, based on the strengths, available potential and resources of each area.

Of which, zoning 1 focuses on developing administrative - service - industrial - agricultural centers; The boundary includes Dau Tieng town, Thanh An commune, Dinh Hiep, part of Thanh Tuyen, An Lap and Dinh Thanh communes with a total area of about 18,600 hectares. In zoning 2, the district reserves an area of about 13,400 hectares to develop urban, industrial and agricultural service areas in the south, including Thanh Tuyen, An Lap communes and part of Long Tan commune. In zoning 3, the district allocates 1,200 hectares for the eastern urban - industrial - service development area; The boundary includes part of Long Hoa and Long Tan communes. Zoning 4 has an area of 17,400 hectares to create a high-tech agricultural - urban - service development area in the north; The boundary includes Dinh Thanh and Minh Tan communes, a portion of Minh Hoa and Dinh An communes. In zoning 5, the district reserves a land fund of 15,500 hectares to build a service development area, mainly tourism - agricultural services in the northwest; The boundary includes Dinh Thanh commune, part of Minh Hoa and Dinh An communes.

The district focuses on developing two high-tech agricultural areas in Long Hoa commune with an area of about 1,105 hectares and Minh Tan commune with an area of about 1,103 hectares. At the same time, the district will enhance the development of specialized citrus growing areas in Saigon River, Thi Tinh River areas and lakes, canals and streams in the area, transform the crop structure, and increase income for farmers. In addition, the district will develop a concentrated livestock farming area in Minh Thanh commune with a total area of about 860 hectares.

Invest in regional transport connections

Dau Tieng district is located in the northwest of the province, is the gateway connecting Binh Duong province with Binh Phuoc province, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the main traffic development orientation of this area must ensure quick, convenient and safe circulation between areas. Regional traffic connection is oriented to develop in both main directions: north-south and east-west. Specifically, along the north - south vertical axis with National Highway 56, DT744, DT748, DT749G, DT744B. Along the east-west axis, there are routes DT750, DT749A, DT745A (Ring Road 5), DT745B, DT749B, DT749C, 749D, 749E, 749F.

To create space for regional connectivity, on the Saigon River, the district will build four new bridges, including: Trang Bang - Dau Tieng 1, Trang Bang - Dau Tieng 2, Trang Bang - Dau Tieng 3, Dau Tieng - Cu Chi. On Thi Tinh River, seven new bridges will be built, including: Long Hoa - Dinh Hiep, Long Hoa - Long Tan, An Lap - Long Tan 1, An Lap - Long Tan 2, An Lap - Long Tan 3, An Lap - Long Nguyen, An Lap - Long Nguyen 2.

It can be affirmed that the project approved by the Provincial People's Committee is an important basis for Dau Tieng district to plan directions, operate and manage socio-economic development activities and spatial development in the district in the coming period, ensure synchronous connectivity, maximize potential and advantage, and unleash resources for balanced, harmonious, effective and sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Deputy Secretary of Dau Tieng District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee: Construction planning project for Dau Tieng district until 2040 has the aim to create new development space by integrating all planning, avoiding overlaps and inadequacies of the past. After announcing the planning, Dau Tieng district will continue to implement some investment projects in industrial parks, industrial clusters, service, trade and tourism functional areas to have a strength to call for investment.
