Recently, cultural relics in Dau Tieng district have become a red address for all levels and branches in the province to organize historical-cultural activities for young generations.

The land has many historical relics

The land and people of Dau Tieng have gone down in history with many heroic events and testimonies of cultural significance. These are "living proof" associated with the heroic years of fighting to protect the Fatherland of our ancestors through many historical periods. In particular, there is a red address here bearing the mark of the great victory in the spring of 1975, the relic "Ho Chi Minh Campaign Front Command" in Cam Xe forest in Minh Tan commune. From this revolutionary base, the historic mission that the Politburo assigned to the Command of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign to liberate Saigon - Gia Dinh, which was to liberate the South before the rainy season, was successfully completed.

Later, the relic "Ho Chi Minh Campaign Front Command" in Cam Xe forest was ranked as a national revolutionary historical relic in 2010. After that, Cam Xe forest was invested and upgraded by Binh Duong province to become a historical relic area with many items, such as: stele records the progress of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the scene recreates the place where the leaders met to discuss plans, Hoang Cam kitchen, memorial house... This is a historical relic of great value in revolutionary tradition education for the young generation, is a red address for all levels and branches to organize meaningful activities, cultivating patriotic traditions and national pride.

Tran Manh Duoc, Party Secretary of Minh Tan commune, said that the commune is very honored to have a red address recognized as a national revolutionary historical relic. The Commune Party Committee regularly directs units and unions of the commune and schools in the area to organize activities at this relic to let each citizen and student know more about their father's struggles. At the same time, the commune also regularly does cleaning and environmental landscape activities to keep the scenery of this relic area always clean and beautiful.

In addition to the relic "Ho Chi Minh Campaign Front Command" in Cam Xe forest, in Dau Tieng district there are also 10 provincial-level cultural relics. In recent years, authorities at all levels and people of Dau Tieng district have made efforts to preserve and promote the value of these relics. Thanks to efforts to preserve and promote the value of cultural relics, Dau Tieng has become an attractive destination for tourists inside and outside the province. Cultural relics in the district not only contribute to the local socio-economic development but also become "red addresses" to educate patriotic traditions for people inside and outside the province.

Preserve and promote

Cultural relics in Dau Tieng district are evidence reflecting traditional cultural values and great achievements of our ancestors. Recognizing that preserving heritage and relics is an important and necessary task, for many years now, the work of managing and promoting the value of cultural relics in the district has always been paid attention and implemented effectively.

Nguyen Thi Du, Director of Dau Tieng District Relics Management Board, said that in determining the role, importance and promoting the value of cultural relics in the area, in recent years, Dau Tieng district has always paid attention to the management, protection, restoration and embellishment of monuments. To preserve and promote the cultural values of relics in the district, the unit annually reviews and evaluates the current status of relics to report to departments, branches and local authorities.

In addition, to promote the value of relics, the district has promoted coordination with unions and the district's education and training sector to organize activities of youth union members and students to plant flowers and trees, admit new team members and union members at revolutionary historical relics; organize extracurricular activities and historical-cultural tours. These activities not only show respect for historical values, but also helps the young generation be aware of their own responsibilities to strive harder in learning and training.

Du added that in the coming time, the District Relics Management Board will continue to coordinate with departments and localities to carry out propaganda so that officials, party members and people of the district understand the value and significance of cultural relics in the area in order to contribute to raising the sense of responsibility of each individual in promoting the value of the relics, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

Today, Dau Tieng land has changed a lot, the vast rubber forests and green fruit orchards have erased the traces of bombs and bullets in the past. But the cultural relics here are still shining symbols of the will to fight for revolution of our army and people. Proud of their homeland's revolutionary tradition, the army and people of Dau Tieng are working hard, studying, and producing to build the heroic Dau Tieng homeland to increasingly develop.

Dau Tieng district currently has 10 provincial-level cultural relics and 1 national historical relic.
