Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society: Each branch strives to build a house of compassion to the poor

For 2014’s targets, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society will strive to mobilize at least 150 gifts for the poor; implement a mobilization of urgent aid when natural disasters occur... Each branch will mobilize at least 100 gifts for the program of “Tet for the poor, Agent Orange victims”; strive to build and present a house of compassion to the poor.

The district’s Red Cross Society last year teamed up with sectors and mass organizations to mobilize and present 2,846 gifts worth VND660mln to the poor, helping them enjoy Tet; built 2 Red Cross houses and upgraded 4 others with a total expense of VND143mln…

In addition, the district’s Red Cross Society mobilized donors to award 118 scholarships worth VND54.28mln to poor-but-excellent pupils; mobilized more than 1,500 kg of rice valued at more than VND23mln for the poor; offered help to 123 needy cases…
