Dau Tieng District to tighten management of Nui Cau forest

Recently, People's Committee of Dau Tieng district and provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development had a meeting on the management of protective forest land, construction of Can Nom lake and Thi Tinh dam.

At the meeting, People's Committee of Dau Tieng District recommended Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to increase the planting of forest trees and relocate all livestock farms out of protective forest area. To review and re-determine the actual contracted area to make adjustment. Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will soon instruct functional agencies to survey and restore all 212 landmarks to protect Can Nom lake and hand over to the local government. It is known that Nui Cau protective forest has a total area of 3,652 ha, is considered as the green lung of the province and the Southeast region.
