Thanks to the consensus among the local Party, government and people, the movement of making rural roads in Dau Tieng district has actually contributed to promoting the local socio-economic development…

In 2009 alone, Dau Tieng district built and upgraded 128 works on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation with a total length of more than 86km. The total cost for these works was estimated at over VND19bln, 25.3% of which came from the local people.

The mobilization of the local people to make contributions to the movement was obviously implemented by localities in the district. Most localities last year also made positive change in perfecting the documents for survey and making the reports on finance and technology to work out the works on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation. But, there were shortcomings for change, including management for works after being completed, mobilization of the local companies to make contributions to the movement…

In 2010, Dau Tieng district’s Steering Board for the Rural Road Making and Urban Rejuvenation Movement has instructed its members to offer timely help to localities so that they remove obstacles in the process of realizing the movement. Localities have been also ordered to actively mobilize people in space clearance and making many other contributions to the movement…

The district this year will strive to build and upgrade 96 works on rural traffic of nearly 60km with a total expense of more than VND11.5bln, including VND1.4bln mobilized from local people.
