Dau Tieng gets animated with patriotic emulation movements

Identifying patriotic emulation movements as an important driving force promoting the successful implementation of the local tasks on socio-economic development, national defense and security, Dau Tieng district’s People's Committee has organized many exciting emulation movements from district to grassroots levels.

Sticking to core tasks

Over the past time, Dau Tieng district organized many emulation movements, with focus on sticking to key tasks and fields in the local socio-economic development. The district’s People's Committee soon issued a plan to launch patriotic emulation movements in order to create an exciting emulation atmosphere in the Party Committee, the government and the people, striving to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the local plan on socio-economic development, national defense and security.

Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of the district’s People's Committee, Chairman of the district’s Emulation and Commendation Council said that over the past time, the district attached special importance to launching the local “good labor and good production” emulation movement. With the spirit of overcoming difficulties while promoting industriousness and creativity in labor, people in the district focused on investing in exploiting available land resources to put into production, accelerating the shift of animal and plant structure towards improving productivity, products suitable to the needs of the market. The results achieved through the “good labor and good production” emulation movement contributed to the overall achievement in the implementation of the local economic development goals.

The district has also paid attention to the patriotic emulation movements in the field of culture and society. Currently, the whole district is home to 38 out of 46 schools meeting national standards, accounting for 82.6% of total. There are 19 schools meeting educational quality standards. The district’s high schools, vocational education and continuing education centers had 100% of students with graduation in 2022...

Improving the quality of emulation movements

The patriotic emulation movements have been deployed widely, attracting a large number of cadres, Party members and people. This is also a driving force for all-level authorities and sectors, and individuals to make worthy contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, bring into full play self-reliance in all sectors, people from all strata and armed forces. Each collective and individual has competed to promote their internal strength, potential, intelligence and creative talent to achieve many new achievements in production and labor to successfully implement the Party’s resolutions and guidelines, the State’s policies and laws in each field.

In addition, the district’s Fatherland Front and socio-political mass organizations have constantly improved the quality of emulation movements, thereby attracting a large number of Youth Union members, members and people to effectively participate in. The district’s typical movements, namely "All people unite to build cultural life", "Fund for the poor", "Exemplary veterans", "Good farmers in business and production", "Voluntary blood donation"…have become movements with strong pervasive power in life.

Through emulation movements, the district’s relevant sectors have widely propagandized the Party's policies and guidelines, the State’s laws among cadres, civil servants and people by various forms; coordinated with functional sectors in organizing propaganda and education, effectively deploying patriotic emulation movements, policies on great national unity; promoted democracy, participating in building a pure and strong Party organization, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations, contributing to the local cause of promoting socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order and safety. The emulation movements have aroused the spirit of patriotism, emulation of production-labor, with the participation of a large number of people, thereby having many advanced examples praised and rewarded by all-level authorities and sectors.

According to Mr. Linh, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the local patriotic emulation movements, the district’s People's Committee will further uphold results done while focusing on launching the patriotic emulation movements in association with implementing the targets and resolutions of the district’s Party Committee, People's Council on the tasks of socio-economic development, national defence-security in 2023 and the following years. The district will focus on promoting the spirit of dynamism, creativity, overcoming difficulties, responding to the local emulation movements to perform and complete tasks; bend on boosting production, learning and training with high efficiency, constantly improving the material and spiritual lives of people from all strata, cadres, civil servants and armed forces.

The district will also continue promoting the emulation movement of "The whole district joins hands in building new-style rural areas"; promoting the local patriotic emulation movements among cadres and people; further launch the emulation movement on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and life style and the emulation movement to celebrate major holidays among cadres, civil servants, public employees and people...
