Dau Tieng’s 9th Congress of Uncle Ho’s good children organized

On June 17, Dau Tieng district’s Youth Union grandly held the 9^th Congress of Uncle Ho’s good children themed “Dau Tieng’s children upholding the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s good children” with the participation of 126 delegates representing HCMYPO members in the province.

The congress reported on the academic results of nearly 9,800 local HCMPO members during the past academic years from 2014 to 2016. Particularly, 100% of HCMYPO detachments well realized the activities of “Mang non (young shoot) propaganda squad”, “Sao do (red star) squad”, “Mang non broadcast squad”; launched the movements of “Children love Vietnam’s sea and islands”, “Being proud of national tradition-following elders’ footsteps” with 168 talk shows, attracting more than 30,000 HCMYPO members; raised VND5mln in cash, 845 notebooks, 56 sets of clothing for poor children in the central Highlands province of Daklak; launched the movement of “Building up fine friendship, saying no to school violence” with 97 talk shows and 15 forums, absorbing more than 24,000 pupils…

On this occasion, Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 126 HCMYPO members winning the “Uncle Ho’s good children” title and scholarships to 10 poor HCMYPO members.
