Dau Tieng’s total production value reaches over VND10.38trillion

Early November 17, Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee had a working session with Dau Tieng district’s Party Standing Committee about the local socio-economic performance, national defence-security in 2016 and orientations, tasks for 2017.

In 2016, the district’s total production value was estimated at more than VND10.38trillion, up 13.87% compared to last year’s corresponding period. Rubber is still one of the district’s main trees with 50,750 hectares. The district is also home to 465 hectares of fruit trees and 201 breeding farmsteads...So far, the district has completed its project on developing a specialized area on fruit trees in association with ecotourism development in Thanh Tuyen commune.

The district’s trade-services also reached stable growth at locals’ demand for shopping. Regarding industrial production, the whole district had a total of 264 enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 35; set up additional 4 cooperatives and cooperative groups…The district also paid attention to socio-cultural, education and healthcare fields; well ensured social welfare and maintained national defence-security.

For 2017’s targets, the district will ensure stability in terms of political security; further make the shift of economic structure towards sustainable development; boost natural resource management and environmental protection; assure social welfare; promote administrative reform…

Speaking at the working session, Mr.Tu spoke highly of achievements done by the district in 2016, especially in economic development. He also highly appreciated the district’s Party Committee’s models studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings while asking the district’s Party Standing Committee to pay more attention to some issues pertaining to basic construction, environmental protection, traffic safety…
