Dau Tieng spends nearly VND3.8billion on stockpiling goods for Tet

Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee has just promulgated a plan on stockpiling essential commodities, including food-foodstuff, poultry-cattle meat, vegetables, fruits, sugar, cooking oil, milk, medicine, petroleum, confectionary, alcohol… for Tet; tightening control over food hygiene and safety; listing prices at markets before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019.

The district’s amount of goods stockpiled for Tet has increased by around 10% compared to normal months with a total value of more than VND3.78billion. The district will also coordinate with the Trade Promotion Center under provincial Department of Industry and Trade to organize 2 joyful market-days of bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside in Long Hoa and Minh Hoa communes with essential commodities at people’s demand for shopping on Tet.

In addition, the district will focus on drastically taking solutions to monitor over market prices, aiming to prevent unreasonable price increases. The district has also increased additional groups of commodities with stabilized prices in association with effectively realizing the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”; created favorable conditions for enterprises to implement a program on stimulating consumption...
