Late March 31, the People’s Committee of Dau Tieng district held a conference to review the local movement on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation in 2013 and define orientations for 2014.

Leaders of the district last year paid attention to the movement on rural traffic and urban rejuvenation. The local people also made contributions to the movement. Accordingly, the whole district carried out 22 works on urban rejuvenation or 110% of the projection and 69 roads on rural traffic or 121% of the projection with a total expense of more than VND19.5bln, including nearly VND18bln from State budget and the remainder from the local people. Particularly, the district upgraded 62 roads on rural traffic with a total length of nearly 68.1km; rejuvenated 5 roads with a total length of more than 2.7km and 2 intra-field roads with a total length of more than 1.6km.

In 2014, Dau Tieng district has set its targets of further upgrading 61 rural roads with a total length of more than 63.6km; making 23 works on urban rejuvenation; having all 12 communes and township with rural roads to villages, hamlets, quarters, residential compounds; well managing the existing rural roads…
