On November 12, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly delegation, came to celebrate the GNSD with officials, party members and people of Quarter 8, Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city. The event was also attended by Nguyen Hoang Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of Provincial Military Command; Nguyen Van Dong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of Provincial Red Cross Association; leaders of Thu Dau Mot City, leaders of Phu Hoa ward and many people in the neighborhood.

In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the festival, delegates and people in the neighborhood reviewed the 93-year history of the Fatherland Front Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023); and listened to reports of the neighborhood’s Front Work Committee on the situation of the GNS, the results of building a civilized urban area...

Quarter 8 currently has more than 5,400 households, with nearly 11,000 residents. In 2023, although there were many difficulties, officials and people of the neighborhood raised the spirit of solidarity and strived to effectively implement the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". People's lives continued to improve, the political security situation, social order and safety were protected and stable, the neighborhood maintains the title "Cultural Quarter"...

Speaking at the festival, Loi congratulated and appreciated the results of Quarter 8. The Secretary of Provincial Party Committee hoped that Quarter 8 in particular and 118 Quarters throughout Thu Dau Mot City would continue to promote the results achieved, overcome difficulties, and be determined to successfully implement the goals and tasks.

Recalling Uncle Ho's teachings: “Solidarity, solidarity, great solidarity. Success, success, great success", the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee affirmed that throughout history, our nation has overcome many difficulties and rapids thanks to the spirit of solidarity. At the festival, provincial leaders awarded 14 gifts to poor households in Phu Hoa ward and 20 gifts to poor people, 30 gifts to children having difficult circumstances in Quarter 8. Thu Dau Mot City leaders also gave 10 gifts to poor households in the ward; gave 14 gifts to poor students. In addition, provincial and city leaders also presented bicycles to 12 students having difficult circumstances in the area... Earlier that morning, the Provincial Party Secretary and his delegation visited and gave gifts to 2 poor households in Quarter 5 of Phu Hoa Ward.

Building a cultural and civilized lifestyle

Yesterday, also in Thu Dau Mot City, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, attended the GNSD in Quarter 3, Chanh Nghia Ward.

At the day, delegates and people of Quarter 3 together reviewed the 93-year history of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day and listened to the local Front work committee report on the results of the 2023 GNS bloc building. Accordingly, as implementing the project to improve the quality of the campaign "Building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle", the local Front work committee of Quarter 3 actively propagated and mobilized people to unite together to develop their family economy, join hands to build a cultural lifestyle and civilized urban areas. In 2023, the neighborhood has 369/369 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family"; of which, 318 households achieved the title "Cultural Family" for 2 consecutive years and 312 households achieved the title "Cultural Family" for 3 consecutive years...

Speaking at the festival, Thao appreciated the solidarity spirit of local people in implementing patriotic emulation movements; and hoped that the neighborhood’s residents would continue to build great solidarity bloc; preserve cultural identity, help each other in labor, poverty reduction, and achieve legitimate wealth; actively participate in the campaign "All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas", protect the environment, social security and order...

Thao also requested that the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front and local organizations continue to improve the quality of activities and innovate propagation work with creative ways, suitable to practical conditions, to contribute to the development of a more civilized, beautiful, and meaningful locality.
