Decree No. 95/2023/ND-CP disseminated for nearly 500 dignitaries, religious officials and representatives of religious establishments

On June 4, the Provincial Department of Home Affairs and the Provincial Religious Affairs Committee held a conference to disseminate Decree No. 95/2023/ND-CP dated December 29, 2023 of the Government (referred to as Decree 95) for dignitaries, religious officials and representatives of religious establishments. The conference attracted nearly 500 dignitaries, religious officials and representatives of religious establishments in the province.

Decree 95 details some articles and measures to implement the Law on Belief and Religion. At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Thi Dinh, senior expert, Head of Legal - Inspection Department, Government Committee for Religious Affairs, presented a number of new points of Decree 95 compared to Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP and authority to handle administrative procedures of People's Committees at all levels.

Nguyen Van Minh, Director of Provincial Department of Home Affairs, said that the conference was held to help dignitaries, officials, monks, representatives, and management boards of religious establishments understand and grasp new points of the decree, thereby properly implementing belief and religious activities according to the provisions of law. He hoped that, after the conference, the participants would be the core to continue propagating, disseminating, and guiding dignitaries, officials, and followers to perform their citizen duties well, live "a good life, beautiful religion".
