Deputy PM Khiem visits Japan, attends int’l conferences

 Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem arrived in Tokyo on January 15, beginning a visit to Japan and attending international conferences there until January 19.

 

Upon his arrival, Mr Khiem met with the Japan-Vietnam Special Friendship Ambassador, Sugi Ryotaro, representatives of the World Buddhist Summit and leaders of the International Friendship Exchange Council (FEC). They exchanged views to increase ties between Vietnam and these organisations.

 

Mr Khiem is scheduled to attend the 4th forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on January 16 and the 3rd meeting of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Committee. He will also visit Osaka city.
