Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha: Binh Duong will open a new era of green, sustainable energy development

On the morning of April 15, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his delegation worked with leaders of Binh Duong province. At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh gave a summary report on the socio-economic development, defense and security situation of Binh Duong in the first quarter of 2024. Accordingly, the province's economy continued to have good changes, most indicators increased compared to the same period in 2023... Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh also proposed Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation to remove difficulties and obstacles related to some key projects, such as: Tan Van intersection on Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City; proposed the Government submit to the National Assembly a resolution on specific mechanisms and policies for Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction projects, provide support from 50% of compensation, support, and resettlement costs to implement the projects; suggested improving the capacity of Song Than international intermodal terminal...

Conluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated Binh Duong province's efforts in leadership and administration. Binh Duong is the leading province in FDI attraction in the country and is highly rated by foreign investors for its service, administrative procedure reform, green transformation towards a green economy, circular economy... The Deputy Prime Minister asked ministries and branches to respond and provide specific instructions on Binh Duong province's recommendations to remove difficulties and obstacles. The Government will concretize institutions related to solar power issues to facilitate the development of clean energy sources...

Through the Horasis China Meeting 2024, the Deputy Prime Minister looks forward to good results, contributing to cooperation in science and technology, green transformation, digital transformation, and strong application into scientific and technological achievements to serve as a solid driving force for growth and socio-economic development. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will support and create favorable conditions for enterprises to conduct effective, successful and sustainable business investment activities in Vietnam.

* On the same morning, at Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee and Becamex IDC Corporation coordinated with the China Federation of Industrial Economics to hold the opening ceremony of the 2024 Horasis China Meeting, with the theme: "Developing together towards the future".

The ceremony had the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City; Jonathan Choi, Standing Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of Sunwah Group; leaders of Central and local ministries, branches. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the co-organizers of the 2024 Horasis China Meeting. The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the forum will create opportunities for all parties to share vision, seek opportunities and strengthen cooperation in innovation, sustainable development, and promote the spirit of "seizing new opportunities, develop together comprehensively". The event is not only a good opportunity for Binh Duong to promote its image in particular, and Vietnam in general to international friends, this is also an opportunity for businesses to learn about Binh Duong - an attractive, reliable investment destination, a worth-living city. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that Binh Duong would open a new era of digital transformation, green energy development, sustainable development, becoming a smart city, choosing smart investors, and building the most effective space for investors. The forum is an opportunity for the Governments, localities and businesses of the two countries to further develop the topics of innovation and green energy. The Vietnamese Government pledges to always listen, understand, and create good mechanisms, create solid trust for investors.

On occasion of the 2024 Horasis China Meeting, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee granted 9 investment policy approval decisions and 8 investment registration certificates to some typical projects in the province; awarded investment cooperation agreement between the Provincial People's Committee and Viettel Post; handed over the investment policy resolution for Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project; Ho Chi Minh City Chon Thanh expressway project.

On this occasion, Becamex IDC Corporation and Sunwah Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on exchange and cooperation in various fields, especially focusing on the fields of innovation, digital transformation, technology development, sustainable development, Net Zero.
