Determining Binh Duong’s vision until mid-21st century

A scientific conference on "The development model of Binh Duong province in the national renewal process" will take place tomorrow. This is an activity within the framework of the cooperation program to implement the Project on "Reviewing provincial development model in the national renewal process and vision to 2050" that has been approved by provincial Party Committee and Central Theoretical Council.The conference is expected to absorb about 1,000 delegates.

Evaluating results, defining vision

According to the Organizing Board, this conference will focus on accurately assessing the overall development model of Binh Duong province and specific development models in various fields over nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal policy and over 25 years of the local construction and development. The workshop will also clearly point out achievements, shortcomings and causes, and on that basis, it will propose solutions and recommendations to determine the local vision, goals, strategic orientations and development roadmap until 2050.

After nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal  policy and more than 25 years of the local construction and development, Binh Duong province has achieved many important achievements

The conference is expected to include 2 sessions. Particularly, the first session is themed "Current status of Binh Duong’s development model". In the session, in addition to the report on "The development model of Binh Duong province in the national renewal process", representative of provincial Party Committee will present the content of "The general development model of Binh Duong province in the national renewal process": Characteristics, current situation, problems, solutions and recommendations. At the session, delegates will also hear a speech by representative of the Central Theoretical Council’s working group on "Some major relationships in the development model of Binh Duong province".

At the second session  with the theme of "Viewpoints, tasks, solutions for Binh Duong province’s development until 2050", there will be 3 speeches, including "Viewpoints, strategic visions, tasks, solutions, recommendations for the development of Binh Duong province until 2050"; "Development model of Becamex IDC over the past 25 years"; "Binh Duong development model: Motivational foundations for development and challenges".

Identifying challenges, seeking solutions for development

In addition to speeches by provincial Party Committee and the Central Theoretical Council, it is expected that at the conference, many units will also give speeches to serve the accurate assessment of the overall development model of Binh Duong province and specific development models in various fields over nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal policy and especially 25 years of the local construction and development. On that basis, the workshop will propose solutions and recommendations to determine the local vision, goals, strategic orientations and development roadmaps until 2050.

Accordingly, in addition to the speech on "General development model of Binh Duong province in the process of national innovation: Characteristics, current situation, raised issues and solutions, recommendations", the units’speeches will focus specifically on each field. That is "provincial Model for economic, cultural, social, human, science and technology development, resource management, environmental protection, adaptation to climate change, ensuring national defense-security, international integration, Party and political system building... in the process of national innovation: Characteristics, current situation, raised issues and solutions, recommendations".

The workshop will also mention general theoretical issues about the development model of provincial-level localities in general and some localities in the Southern region and reference values ​​for Binh Duong; analyze the relationship between Party, political system building and socio-economic development through Binh Duong province's development reality; operation, management mechanisms in the Binh Duong development model; the relationship between the Government and localities, developing Binh Duong province in connection with regional development...

The workshop will also focus on discussing typical models, valuable experience, good ways in fields through the development reality in Binh Duong, comprising of developing State-owned enterprises, private enterprises, attracting FDI; developing industrial parks associated with solving social and environmental issues; exploiting value from land; making social housing development; attracting human resources resources, developing high-quality human resources; developing infrastructure facilities; building and perfecting the investment environment, creating jobs, ensuring social welfare, developing smart urban areas...

The workshop will also analyze and forecast bottlenecks, new challenges and set requirements on specific institutions and development policies in order to determine viewpoints, strategic visions, goals, responsibilities and solutions for the development of Binh Duong province until 2050.
