Develop synchronous and modern infrastructure, create new breakthroughs - Part 2

 Binh Duong is working hard to build a new generation industrial ecosystem; transforming the industrial - urban - service development model towards green, smart and sustainable development.  Modernize transport infrastructure

In recent years, Binh Duong has been investing in and developing a synchronous and modern transport system; planning comprehensive, sustainable and interdisciplinary transport infrastructure, accompanied by urban development. The routes connecting to economic zones, industrial parks, tourist areas, logistics centers, and key economic regions across the country meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development towards industrialization and urbanization, contributing to the construction of Binh Duong Smart City - Binh Duong Innovation Zone. At the same time, Binh Duong works with other provinces and cities in the Southern Key Economic Zone to speed up investment and develop beltways, expressways, etc., in line with regional planning to alleviate traffic congestion on the province's main routes.

As per the Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision for 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Binh Duong aims to complete the modernization of its transport infrastructure system by 2030. This will involve prioritizing investments in the construction of key projects. Regarding the provincial transport infrastructure development plan, by 2030 there will be 43 provincial roads, including 16 existing routes and 27 new additional routes. Accordingly, Binh Duong completed the investment in the construction of key national routes through the province, including the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh Road; researched the construction of a railway from Bau Bang Industrial Park to Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port... Besides, Binh Duong invested in the construction of traffic infrastructure connecting logistics centers, inland container depots (ICDs), wharves, and cargo transit points, linked to the industrial and urban development roadmap.

By 2050, Binh Duong will continue to complete and modernize its transport infrastructure system according to approved national and industry plans. Binh Duong also continues to invest in elevated roads and interchanges on key traffic routes along the North-South axis and the East-West belt... to further enhance connectivity and traffic capacity of the province's traffic system; focus on dry ports along the Saigon River, Dong Nai River, and Thi Tinh River, forming hubs for the transfer of goods to major inland waterway ports in the region by waterway...

A model of industrial park development for the whole country

According to the plan for developing the industrial park system in the Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Binh Duong aims to develop an advanced and excellent industrial park system that meets international standards and competitiveness, setting a model for industrial park development for the entire country. Binh Duong aims for the overall occupancy rate of operating industrial parks to reach 93.11% by 2030. In the 2021-2030 period, Binh Duong aims to establish and invest in 14 new industrial parks; in the 2031-2050 period, it will invest in at least 6 new industrial parks.

Regarding the general orientation, Binh Duong will develop concentrated, ecological industrial parks, apply high technology associated with the development of industrial urban spaces, areas with favorable infrastructure conditions, creating conditions for the development of synchronous, modern industrial urban spaces - services, limiting the growth of diffuse, small-scale, and scattered industries. Meanwhile, the province exploits and uses land effectively and economically, aiming to limit land-intensive types of land use with low production value, reserving land area for more effective socio-economic development goals; develop new and expand industrial parks along the northern corridor of Ring Road 4, the western area of Bau Bang urban area and the eastern area linked to the road connecting Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao.

Binh Duong also moves the Southern industrial parks to the North, uses the land fund after relocation (after 2030) for advanced production purposes, high-quality regional services, balancing social infrastructure, technical infrastructure, and traffic in the area, and uses a part for urban development purposes.

In order to achieve the aforementioned goals, Binh Duong is establishing a new generation industrial ecosystem. This includes restructuring the province's industry and developing new industrial, urban, and service models in line with regional planning. Binh Duong is committed to upgrading the province's industrial development model to gradually reduce labor intensity and conserve land resources. The province aims to transform existing industrial parks into smart industrial parks equipped with a 4.0 technology platform to attract high-value-added industries, with the ultimate goal of becoming a smart city and a modern industrial center.
