Mrs. Phan Le Diem Trang, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Textile and Garment Association, said: "We are manufacturing businesses, mostly related to logistics, warehouses, so if there are green logistics development directions, combined with new technologies and methods, transportation costs can be reduced. From there, product costs can also be reduced, contributing to price competitiveness for the end consumers."
According to Ms. Hoang Yen, Director of Roldale Spear Company (Thuận An city), the business is now facing more favorable conditions as the Thanh Phuoc dry port has been inaugurated and put into operation. This dry port has a system of warehouses and exploitation yards, along with a convenient geographical location to connect with industrial zones and manufacturing plants in the province. Hoang Yen wishes for Binh Duong to continue transforming its transportation methods to create a green logistics route, focusing on developing customs clearance services for import and export goods at the port through connecting road networks with port clusters in Ho Chi Minh city, especially connecting with deep-water port clusters in Cai Mep - Thi Vai (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that Binh Duong is implementing key transportation projects and building additional port systems. These will be leverage for the locality to break through and elevate logistics. The Belt Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh city, Belt Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh city are connecting routes, when completed, they will boost the logistics development of the province.
It is expected that in November 2024, Binh Duong will commence the construction of the key project, the high-speed route connecting Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh, with a length of over 52km within the province. This route is the connecting axis between Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Phuoc, the Central Highlands provinces, and connects to airports and seaports. Binh Duong is also mobilizing all resources to invest in the construction of a comprehensive and modern infrastructure system, closely linked to the development of industry, services, and urban areas.
