Di An City strengthens inspection and handling of illegal scrap trading establishments

Monday, 09/12/2024

Between 2022 and 2024, the People's Committee of Di An City conducted inspections of 28 organizations, while the People's Committees of various wards inspected 179 household-scale and individual scrap trading units. The results of these inspections revealed that most organizations and individuals complied with regulations by ceasing operations, relocating, or converting their operations to align with the licensed business lines. As a result, the City People's Committee issued administrative sanctions against 12 scrap trading units in the area.

In the coming time, the City People's Committee will continue to direct specialized sectors and wards to strengthen inspection and handling of scrap trading establishments operating illegally, not ensuring environmental regulations, fire prevention and fighting safety, land and business conditions; improve the effectiveness of local forces in grasping the area, avoiding new situations or re-operation of establishments that have ceased operations.

The city also implemented a plan to support career conversion for scrap businesses and promoted propaganda to raise awareness of law compliance among scrap businesses... contributing to the goal of building a civilized, clean, beautiful, and safe Di An city.
