Di An expands front of uniting young workers

Provincial Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers for the periods of 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 have been implemented effectively by Di An city’s Youth Unions and associations at all levels, thereby bringing material and spiritual care to young workers, helping them keep their mind in work.

Gathering strengthened

To implement provincial Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers for the period of 2020-2025, Di An ward’s Organizing Board of the Project has established a Youth Union branch for young workers  at the lodging facility at No. 22/7 on Nguyen Trai street in Dong Tan quarter. The purpose of establishing the branch is to want workers to be closer, helping each other in difficult times; maintain security and order at the lodging facility, comply with local regulations while regularly organizing healthy activities, creating  favorable conditions for young workers to live, play and entertain, and to access the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws.

Di An city’s Youth Union organizes the 2022 “Beloved bus” program, giving gifts for disadvantaged workers

Vo Cao Tri, Secretary of Di An ward’s Youth  Union said: “In Di An ward, there are now 25 Youth Union branches for young workers at the lodging facilities. The activities of the branches are invested by the ward’s Youth Union in terms of content and form. Over the past time, they organized programs associated with the needs and care for young workers living away from home. At the meetings, they integrated propaganda of the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws and the exchange of games and arts performances. They also cooperated with the ward and city’s police forces to strengthen dissemination on drug and crime prevention and traffic safety ...”.

Prominently, Di An ward’s Youth Union organized a series of culinary contests at the Youth Union branches for young workers at the lodging facilities, creating useful activities for them. The ward’s Youth Union also organized activities to take care of children who are the offspring of young workers through the journey of "Joy for you" on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas; held a thematic talkshow on "Prevention of abuse in women and children", "Skills to prevent and drowning in children"; organize summer camps, programs "My summer vacation", "I love science" for children...

Practical models

The models implemented by the Youth Union branches of 7 wards at the lodging facilities in ​​Di An city have focused on social security work. Every year, An Binh ward’s Youth Union cooperates with twinning units, mobilizing donors to give gifts for children of its members suffering from serious diseases or members with unexpected difficulties…

In addition, An Binh ward’s Youth Union also cooperates with quarters to give gifts for disadvantaged workers on Tet and great holidays. Over the past 4 years, the ward’s Youth Union mobilized and gave financial support for 15 cases with the level of VND1million each together with many other necessities. On the occasion of the annual Lunar New Year festival, the ward’s Youth Union organized a music night for the offspring of young workers who could not return to their hometown to celebrate Tet with meaningful activities …

Especially, the city’s Youth Union and its branches actively cooperated with the wards’ Organizing Boards of the Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers to organize many activities to share difficulties with the poor in association with the response to the Vietnamese Workers' Month and provincial Young Workers' Week with such practical activities as the programs "Zero dong supermarket", "Beloved bus". As a result, the units gave many gifts and necessities for disadvantaged workers.

Along with that, the wards ‘Youth Union branches have maintained the "weekend playground" model at the lodging facilities. This model has attracted a lot of members, connected and cared for disadvantaged young workers at the lodging facilities. On the other hand, they have cooperated with propaganda units on traffic safety, drug prevention, fire prevention and fighting, the Law of the Sea and Islands, the Law of Children…, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of gathering young workers into socio-political organizations, participating in local activities; creating a healthy playground for young workers and promote the propaganda of the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws among workers.

Provincial Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers for the periods of 2015-2020 and 2020-2025, Di An city’s Youth Union and associations have established and maintained 144 Youth Union branches for young workers at the lodging facilities. The city’s Youth Unions at all levels have well implemented the movement, the program of "I love my Fatherland", "Provincial Young Workers ‘Week and Workers' Month", "Zero dong market-day"; given reproductive health counseling, legal advice and organized Tet activities for young people living away from home, thereby contributing to increasing the rate of uniting and gathering youths for the  2017-2022 tenure at more than 85%.
