In Q1 2010, Di An district occurred two mass labor disputes at two FDI businesses with the number of participants accounting for 90% of total laborers. The main reasons for the two cases were that laborers asked for their employers to increase incomes, not to cut allowances, improve the quality of meals and grant health cards for them.
To minimize mass labor disputes, Di An district has outlined measures to beef up supervision over employers’ operations in realizing policies for employees; have timely cooperation with employers to deliberate and deal with policies for employees as well as their aspirations, helping them keep their mind on work.
