Di An partially reviews project of "Joining hands to protect environment"

Di An town just held a partial summing up conference of the project of "Joining hands to protect environment". Accordingly, after more than 2 years of launching, the project has attracted the participation of numerous organizations and households in the whole of the town. The town quarters and households have set up 39 self-control teams on environmental sanitation, 3 non-garbage streets and 3 clean, green and beautiful residential areas with the attendance of more than 2,300 members. In addition, mass bodies and localities have often mobilized and disseminated local residents to maintain sanitation across streets and residential areas with the participation of more than 10,000 people. Therefore, in 2013 the number of garbage in this town declined 20% compared with the previous year, changing local people's awareness and action on environmental hygiene. In 2014, Di An town steering board of the project of "Joining hands to protect environment" will focus on some key tasks such as spurring dissemination work, maintaining road system in wards, perfecting garbage collection and transport system, expanding area of garbage collection, designing dust bins to grant families living in exemplary roads and simultaneously expanding the 5 nought and 3 clean model and so on.                                                                                                  Reported by D.Hoi - Translated by A.C
