Di An receives first-class labor order

Early August 20, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Di An city solemnly held a ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary (1999-2024) of the re-establishment of Di An district (now Di An city). The ceremony was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; members of provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the province and Di An city over periods; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and localities.

In 1999, Di An district was re-established after being separated from Thuan An. After 25 years of construction and development, Di An has rapidly grown and achieved many significant accomplishments. Economically, the locality has experienced high growth, with a reasonable structural shift, increasing the proportion of industry and services while reducing the proportion of agriculture. Compared to 1999, by 2023, Di An's total industrial production increased by nearly 70 times. The number of industrial parks  tripled... In 2023, Di An was recognized by the Government as a second-class city under Binh Duong province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh congratulated the Party, government and people of Di An city on the significant achievements made after 25 years of construction and development. Di An has made a strong transformation, achieving many more successes. From being a predominantly agricultural district, Di An has now become an industrially developed locality of the province, with the people's living standards constantly improving... Chairman of provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh urged the Party, government and people of Di An city to continue making greater efforts with higher political determination, and mobilizing all possible resources to make Di An truly an ideal destination for investors, aiming at becoming a first-class city, positively contributing to the overall development of the province...

At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, Chairman of provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh awarded the First-Class Labor Order to the Party, government, and people of Di An city; awarded the Second-Class Labor Order to Pham Van Bay, Permanent Vice Chairman of Di An city's People's Committee and awarded the Third-Class Labor Order to Vo Van Giau, former Chairman of Di An city’s Fatherland Front Committee.

On this occasion, Di An city awarded 40 scholarships worth VND 5 million each,  funded by provincial Red Cross Society, to disadvantaged students.
