Discount goods fair brings joy to remote areas

Update: 11-12-2012 | 00:00:00
The year-end discount market fair in 2012 was organized at Minh Hoa Commune in Dau Tieng District. Minh Hoa Commune bordering communes of Dong No, Minh Long, and Minh Hung of Binh Long Town in Binh Phuoc Provice was attractive to buyers from two provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. Thousands of people have attended the event as affirmed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, a vehicle keeper of Minh Hoa Commune Cultural Center. Coopmart price-stablized station is always attractive to buyers “In the first day, we sent out 1,200 vehicle keeping tickets,” said Mr. Long. Buyers in remote areas have no time to stock up commodities for daily use, thus, the event is to promote their buying at reasonable prices. They even come to the market in groups of family. However, the worries remain. Mr. Nguyen Tien Xuan, who is Chair of Dau Tieng District Fatherland Front Committee, informed that when local workers have received their salary, mobile shops flocks to Dau Tieng in every parts of rubber plantations to sell commodities; however, they could not prove the origin of the merchandises. As a matter of fact, agencies have called upon authorities to open more discount market fairs (at least 12 to 15 times each year) and price-stablized stations to promote local people with buying of quality Vietnamese goods. The act is righteous as once affirmed by Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem as saying: “Enterprises and supermarkets should organize mobile and mini shops with variety of goods to bring quality Vietnamese goods to remote areas where plantation and industrial park workers are residing.” The calling was real; however, few replies have been echoed.
