Discussion workshop on free open-source software applications opens

Leaders of departments and agencies and representatives from local enterprises joined in a discussion workshop of open-source software applications organized by Department of Information and Communications (DIC) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

 

Department of Information and Communications Director Nguyen Quang Tuyen introduces free open source software.

 

The workshop called upon idea contributions to policy proposals that promote free open-source software applications introduce them to State’s bodies.

 

DIC Director Nguyen Quang Tuyen introduced roles and importance of free open-source applications in State’s bodies to participants in the light of software copyright piracy reining as committed to WTO and contributions to province’s information technology development.

 

Part of discussion time was saved for review of free open-source application that could bring up precious experience. Ideas collected from the workshop will be the basis for DIC to promote free open-source applications efficiently.
