Diverse teaching methods, linking school education with real life, primary schools in the province have been implementing creative experiences in and outside the school, thereby contributing to improving quality and effectiveness of education.

Practical experiences

Creative experience activities were organized by primary schools in the province in many forms, such as: self-service labor, farming activities, visiting farms, visiting historical monuments, cleaning memorials...

One life skill training, experiential activity for students that has been implemented by primary schools in the province is "My vegetable garden". Primary schools such as Dong Hoa B (Di An Town), An Dien (Ben Cat Town), Binh Hoa (Thuan An Town)... saved an area to grow green vegetables. This activity was more meaningful, when the schools organized for students to participate in growing vegetables. At Binh Hoa Primary School, beds of green amaranth, green mustard, water spinach ... are growing verdantly, thanks to the hands of students. With the guidance of teachers and parents, students in 4th and 5th grades had interesting experiences, from growing, watering, harvesting vegetables... Principal Le Thi Ngoc Bich said: "All of their products were delivered to for the school kitchen, if the harvest was simultaneously, un harvested products were sold to parents. Proceeds from vegetables are used as class funds to buy notebooks for disadvantaged students and other voluntary activities”.

Teachers and students of Binh Hoa Primary School (Thuan An Town) take care of "My Vegetable Garden".

The organization for students to grow vegetables helps students to strengthen solidarity and love labor. This is considered as a very practical form of life skill education. In that sense, An Dien Primary School built a green-clean-beautiful school landscape combined with agricultural models. In addition to planting flowers in the campus, the school also grew vegetables in wheels to decorate and train life skills for students. Students of 4th and 5th grades participated in seeding, caring, weeding ... These activities trained students to be disciplined, oriented them towards all activities, help students to comprehensively develop.

To educate students on patriotism

Education through voluntary activities in historical and cultural sites is also a method of primary schools. This is a journey to bring children to find the way back to culture and origin. Coming to these places, students were proud of the sacrifice of older generations to gain independence and freedom for the country. As children of the heroic land Vinh Tan (Tan Uyen Town), Directors board of Vinh Tan Primary School wanted their students to understand and be proud of the contributions of older generations to the national construction and defense. As a result, every year the school organizes for students to visit Vinh Loi war zone. Here, students offered flowers and incenses; listened to stories... This activity not only trained students on patriotism, but also built up the awareness of preserving and protecting historical relics for students.

With the diversity of training forms, through life skill education activities, students further improved their personalities. Education activities for students to preserve the national cultural identities also concerned schools. Dao Thi Nghia, Vice Principal of Tran Phu Primary School (Thu Dau Mot City), said that during school year, the school organized many voluntary activities for students, including the experience of folk games - sports for students. Students were interested in folk games, thereby promoting creativity, activeness, and fostering skills, talents...
