Diverse playgrounds for workers

Besides taking care of and improving the material life of workers, trade unions in the province also organize many playgrounds for cultural and spiritual activities to help working people interact, connect and be more enthusiastic in production activities.

Coming to the contest of "Singing workers" in 2022 organized by Binh Duong provincial Trade Union, a large number of workers had the opportunity to show off their singing talent. In nearly 3 months of exciting activities on every Saturday night, the contest attracted 154 performances from 60 units and enterprises registered to compete in 3 categories of solo, trio, and group choir.

Immersed in the atmosphere of the Union Member Welfare Day organized by the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) Union, a large number of trade union members and employees had moments of enjoyment in many interesting activities. The festival also offered activities of flower arrangement, folk dance contest to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese Trade Union (July 28, 1929 to July 28, 2022). At the festival, the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Union gave 700 gifts to union members living in harsh circumstances.

On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Trade Union, the Trade Union of Ben Cat town in collaboration with the Center for Culture, Sports and Radio of Ben Cat town organized the contest of "Singing of civil servants and public employees 2022.” More than 100 candidates from 38 unions in the administrative, career and school sectors participated in singing contests for solo, duet - trio, and top choir. VSIP union also organized a men's - women's mini football tournament to attract 102 teams from the grassroots unions. Di An City Trade Union organized a mini football tournament for men and women workers, officials and laborers in 2022 to attract 42 male and female teams representing the grassroots trade unions in the administrative and non-business sectors and businesses.

To spread the message of love

Sharing with us about the contest of "Singing workers" in 2022, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Deputy President of the provincial Trade Union, said that although the contest only ruled on 3 categories, the participating repertoires were all thoughtful preparation and investment. The contest was also an opportunity for employees to make use of their voices to speak for their thoughts and gratitude to the trade union organization for taking care of and helping them overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, the spirit of solidarity, and joining hands to build sustainable businesses. Many businesses have actively facilitated in terms of time and funding, some businesses also charged overtime for workers when participating in overtime training; thereby, encouraging them to participate in practice, contributing to the quality of the competition.

Noted at the flower arrangement contest to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnamese Trade Union organized by VSIP Trade Union, among 33 flower arrangement contest works of the units, we were especially impressed by the works showing the spirit of honoring trade unions, typically “The Turn of Time” of Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co. Ltd., “Reaching Out” of Mega Step Co., Ltd., “Unity” of Zeng Hsing Co. Ltd., “Honor” of Nitto Denko Vietnam, “Overcoming hardships and getting over challenges” of FES Vietnam.

Ms. Dang Thi Kim Chi, President of VSIP Trade Union, said that the series of activities organized on this occasion aimed to provide a practical playground and create conditions for employees of units to exchange and purchase essential items; thereby, giving small gifts to trade union members living in harsh circumstances, giving them strength to fulfill production tasks in enterprises.
