Diverse playgrounds for workers

In recent days, the regional qualifying round of the 2024 national State employees’ football tournament held in Binh Duong, has left many beautiful memories for workers in and out of the province. Thai Thu Xuong, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) said: “This is one of the meaningful activities to take better care of workers’ material and spiritual lives.

Participating in the tournament, Dang Thanh Cong, a "veteran" of the rubber sector’s Trade Union from Tay Ninh province shared that this is the second year he has come to Binh Duong to compete in the tournament’s qualifying round and he was very impressed with the organization, hospitality and thorough preparation in all aspects. "This is a major playground for workers and civil servants across the region, so we had the opportunity to exchange and learn many things", said Cong. Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Dung from Binh Thuan’s Trade Union was impressed with the audience's enthusiasm and the meticulous preparations of the organization board, which motivated players to give their best performance.

In addition to the players, the tournament also served as a venue for fans, who were workers from various enterprises in the area. Nguyen Thi Phuong, from Chi Hung Co., Ltd. in Tan Uyen city, whose team won the title of the Best Fan Group of the tournament shared: "The tournament was very exciting with many beautiful plays. When coming here to cheer and have fun, we also had the chance to participate in the luckydraw progam with valuable gifts and receive free medical consultations...I hope this tournament will be held in Binh Duong every year so that workers can participate and enjoy themselves…

Attending the opening ceremony of the qualifying round, Thai Thu Xuong, Vice President of the VGCL  highly appreciated the coordination in  organing the tournament. She shared: "In recent years, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have focused on many solutions to care for and protect the rights and interests of their members, contributing to ensuring employment and improving income for members and workers in the province, especially those with difficult circumstances through meaningful and practical programs.

Mrs. Xuong noted that in addition to taking care of material needs, cultural, artistic and sports activities organized by provincial trade unions at all levels have increased in number. As a result, the local trade unionists and workers have had more opportunities to participate in cultural-sports activities, improving the quality of these movements, contributing to enhancing workers' spiritual life.
