Diversification of activities for young workers

In recent years, provincial Youth Union has paid more attention to the lives of young workers via many substantial activities, including providing healthy consultancy, visiting and presenting gifts to needy workers, organizing art performance, raising funds for alien and needy workers…

 

The results from the above substantial activities show that gathering and taking care of young workers is very necessary for the local socio-economic development. Under the project of “Strengthening task of unitizing and gathering young workers at lodging facilities”, the whole province has so far set up 680 sub-unions and clubs for young workers with 26,792 members.

 

Over the past time, provincial Youth Union and its affiliates opened classes on computer for their officials and youths, including young workers. Young workers herein were also equipped with necessary knowledge of the laws through the project of “Raising awareness of laws among youths”. Especially, many  significant activities were also organized during the annual provincial Week for Young Workers.

 

Provincial Youth Union has also paid attention to giving vocational training and  creating jobs for youths. In the last tenure, there were 30,613, 15,873 and 23,361 youths getting vocational consultancy, vocational training and jobs, respectively. Provincial Youth Union also cooperated with provincial Department of Industry and Trade to help raise the skills of workers taking jobs in companies under provincial Young Entreprenuers’Association.

 

Apartedly, provincial Youth Union kicked off construction of the 2ha-support center for young workers with a total cost of VND57.3bln at the My Phuoc Industrial Park. Construction of the headquarter of provincial Youth Job Center was fulfilled with a total cost of more than VND19bln. Provincial Youth Union and Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also signed a cooperation program in giving vocational training and generating jobs for youths…
