Diversifying activities to take care of young workers

Under the Project on uniting, gathering young workers, right from the beginning of 2023, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have further focused on diversifying activities to take care of young workers in accordance with the Resolution of provincial Youth Union for the new tenure. These activities will improve the effectiveness of the project and strengthen the support of young workers in the province.

Practical care

On the occasion of the last Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, when seeing young workers face difficulties in employment, province Youth Unions at all levels organized a peak activity, promoting the spirit of mutual love, mutual affection, joining hands to create a civilized and meaningful Tet in the homeland of Binh Duong. Provincial Youth Union hosted a program "Make Tet together" in Ben Cat town. At the program, the Central Committee of the Youth Union coordinated with Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (SABECO) and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to support and give 700 gifts for disadvantaged workers. In addition, provincial Youth Union donated 2,324 gifts worth VND500,000 each from provincial People's Committee to project officials, heads of Youth Union branches clubs, teams, and groups for young workers. On this occasion, provincial Youth Union also awarded 20 scholarships to the offspring of disadvantaged workers; commended 22 secretaries of Youth Union branches, heads of clubs, teams, groups for young workers and typical young workers.

These gifts given for disadvantaged young workers have spread the spirit of "no one is left behind". This support of the Youth Union will encourage young workers to continue being strong, accompany businesses, joining hands in the local socio-economic recovery and development.

Volunteering for the life of community is always the beauty of Binh Duong’s youths. In order to bring the joy of traditional Tet to workers living away from home, provincial Youth Union has contributed to creating warm joys. Tran Bao Lam, Pernament Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: "During the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, provincial Youth Union coordinated with TAISHO Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize the "Tet energy bus” program 2023, seeing off and giving gifts gifts for workers and students living away from home to Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Phu Yen and Ca Mau provinces. In addition, the Youth Unions of 9 districts, towns and cities in the province also simultaneously organized activities "Giving strength for young workes to return home for Tet" and organized many activities to take care of workers staying in Binh Duong for Tet at lodging facilities".

On the first days of the Lunar New year, cultural, artistic, and sports activities were organized for young workers, contributing to serving the spiritual life and entertainment needs of young workers and those living away from home.

Life support

To further accompany young workers, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has directed Youth Unions at all levels to focus on diversifying care activities while effectively implementing a plan to establish, maintain activities and replicate the "Activity point of Youth Union members living away from home" and the "Connecting young workers" Club.

Along with that, provincial Youth Union has attached special importance to the work of the Youth Union – mass organizations, accompanying young workers in learning, business startup...The contents will be detailed through provincial Project on "Uniting and gathering young workers in the period of 2021-2025", provincial Project on "Consulting office to support youth development in the period of 2021-2025", provinical Project on Youth Union participating in propaganding drug prevention and control for children in the period of 2021-2025"...

To meet young workers’needs for employment, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has asked for Youth Union branches to actively coordinate with businesses to set up a job introduction plan through online channels..., thereby opportunely supplying the needs and fields of recruitment of businesses to numerous employees and adapt to digital transformation.

In the coming time, under the Resolution of provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure, district-level Youth Unions will effectively combine and promote existing cultural institutions to organize periodic playgrounds with focus on organizing many activities and playgrounds through cultural and artistic exchange programs, weekend playgrounds. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels will further organize activities on healthcare and disease prevention-propaganda for young workers; programs on skills and life; gave consultancy on psychology, reproductive health, marriage and family...On the other hand, legal propaganda will be strengthened by provincial Youth Unions at all levels directly at branches and companies in order to help raise workers’ legal awareness...
