Don't be subjective, ignore Covid-19

Update: 06-07-2022 | 11:54:11

The Covid-19 pandemic in the province is decreasing deeply, creating conditions for all economic sectors to boost production and business, contributing to the completion of the socio-economic targets set out by the province this year. However, in the face of the new mutation BA.5 of Omicron infiltrating and people's subjectivity and neglect in pandemic prevention and control, the pandemic can return at any time. Along with that, dengue fever and summer epidemics are also complicated. Facing the above situation, provincial Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control advised people not to be subjective and neglect pandemics, especially Covid-19.

The assessment of the General Statistics Office shows that Vietnam’s socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year continued being stable. Some sectors thrived despite the sharp increase in prices of the world’s gasoline and essential consumer goods. Along with the whole country, the socio-economic picture of Binh Duong in the first 6 months of the year was flourishing and showing positive signs of development. Of the 34 key targets of 2022, as of now, Binh Duong has completed and exceeded 13 targets while the rest has had a good increase over the same period. This shows that once the pandemic is under control, it will create conditions for all economic sectors to develop, contributing to completing the province’s set targets and plans.

In order to maintain the growth momentum like in the first 6 months of the year, along with drastic measures to clear bottlenecks, mobilize resources and increase disbursement of public investment capital, provincial leaders have paid special attention to preventing  pandemics. For dengue fever and summer diseases, provincial leaders have directed the health sector to quickly detect and stamp out outbreaks so as not to spread widely. For the Covid-19 pandemic, provincial leaders have instructed localities to focus on consolidating medical facilities and speeding up the progress of administering 3rd and 4th shots of Covid-19 vaccine for people, not to let the pandemic overlap before the situation of the sub-variant BA.5 of Omicron has entered Vietnam. Agencies, units and enterprises have encouraged and created favorable conditions for officials, civil servants and employees to get additional and booster shots of COVID-19 vaccine.

After nearly 2 years of resistance, many people have not still forgotten the days when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out. The devastation of the disease was extremely cruel and Binh Duong had to pay a heavy price in both people and property. Many production and business establishments weakened or went bankrupt, and many families were no longer complete because of Covid-19. It is a lesson we must remember and not be subjective and neglectful with the pandemic. To prevent the pandemic from afar and early, the most effective weapon on is still vaccination. Getting enough basic and booster shots of Covid-19 vaccine not only helps us cope with the pandemic, but also is the responsibility to our family, community and above all, this helps not to let the locality where we live to  fall into the state of "locked, frozen" again as at the same time last year.

The direction of the province is clear. Medical facilities are ready while agencies and businesses always create favorable conditions. The remaining problem is the consciousness of each citizen.
