The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on July 5 held talks with a visiting delegation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland in Hanoi.

The two sides briefed each other on the socio-economic situation in each country and the two fronts’ achievements over recent years.

They agreed to work closely together to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two fronts, contributing to developing solidarity and traditional relations between both countries.

Along with promoting the involvement of both peoples in cooperation programmes, the two sides will also exchange information, while coordinating with each other in common issues as well as regional and international matters of mutual concern.

At the same time, the two fronts will also step up delegation exchanges to share experience and strengthen the cooperation among civilian organisations of both countries. Earlier the same day, VFF Central Committee President Huynh Dam received the Chairman of DPRK’s Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland, Kim Wan Su.

They expressed their pleasure at the sound relationship between the two fronts, Parties, governments and peoples, which was funded and nurtured by late President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il-sung.

President Huynh Dam congratulated the Korean front on its 66th anniversary and thanked the DPRK for the support that the country has given to Vietnam.

He praised the achievements made by the Korean front in recent years, and expressed his belief that the DPRK will continue to reap more successes in their national defence and construction. (VNA/ VOV online)
