Du Khanh temple to be recognized as province-level historical cultural relic

Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism gave ranking certificate of province-level historical cultural relic to Du Khanh temple located in Thanh Phuoc ward, Tan Uyen town. Du Khanh temple was built 164 years ago and was bestowed by King Tu Duc (the fifth generation) in 1852.

During the US-resistance war, this was where the revolutionary force organized meetings, food reserves, weapon storage, the mainstay of Thanh Phuoc commune guerrillas. Today, the temple is a religious and cultural location of local people and preserving annual rituals.

The ceremony to receive the ranking certificate of Du Khanh temple was an important historical event, the honor of the Party and people of Tan Uyen town in general and Party members, people of Thanh Phuoc ward in particular. Therefore, Party committees and governments of Tan Uyen town, Thanh Phuoc ward determine to preserve, develop this heritage’s values; strictly and effectively implement Law on Cultural Heritage and guiding documents to preserve and develop local cultural heritages.
