- In 2019, Earth Hour event will take place from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 30, 2016 (Saturday) with the theme: "Energy saving - Earth protection". The campaign wants to send a message to all customers using electricity: Just a small action in energy saving also has tremendous meaning. Electricity saving is contributing to a better living environment for the generation of today and tomorrow.

This is the 11th year, Vietnam participates in responding to Earth Hour event, with the aim of spreading propaganda, raising awareness, role and responsibility of the community for activities of protecting natural resources and environment. school, energy saving and anti-climate change. The event attracts a large number of people to participate, demonstrating their responsibility for social issues of interest, ensuring practicality and long-term effectiveness.

For many years, Binh Duong has maintained a high economic growth rate, especially electricity used for production. This rapid and strong growth has put great pressure on the electricity industry to ensure power supply. In particular, in 2019, the whole country in general, Binh Duong province in particular must face great challenges in ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's daily life.

- Binh Duong tops the nation in implementing electricity saving programs, in which there is an outstanding Earth Hour. Can you inform about solutions and experiences of Binh Duong Electricity Company to achieve this result?

- Annually, following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Southern Power Corporation, Binh Duong Power Company has developed a detailed plan, assigning specific tasks to each individual and unit. On that basis, relevant units and individuals implemented many propaganda activities to mobilize all electricity users with the desire to actively contribute to the overall success of the electricity saving program.

With the responsibility to set a leading example, Binh Duong Power Company mobilized each cadre and employee to voluntarily sign a commitment to participate in response and mobilize relatives to participate in the Earth Hour campaign. Besides, the company also cooperates with other agencies, departments and unions of the province to organize propaganda and advocacy activities to respond to the extensive campaign, to each people in the province. Specifically, the company coordinated hanging banners, propagating posters, and mobilizing to participate in the Earth Hour event at the offices of the units under Binh Duong Power Company, People's Committees of communes and wards. , schools, intersections, markets, supermarkets ...; coordinate with media agencies to propagate the meaning of Earth Hour events, the time of the event ...

For the Earth Hour event in 2019, Binh Duong Power Company continues to coordinate with the Provincial Youth Union to develop a plan and implement propaganda activities from March 22-30, 2013. - Implementing Earth Hour campaign in 2019, how does the electricity industry want to achieve results compared to the previous year, sir?

- For Earth Hour 2019 event, Binh Duong Power Company wants each individual and collective in the community, especially businesses will join hands to save energy. Through this event, the company also expects to propagate deeply to raise the awareness of economical and efficient use of energy by electricity users; Earth Hour will become a common movement of the community, always receive the broad response of organizations, businesses and individuals in the province and achieve many outstanding achievements in the future.

The power sector continues to be a leader in energy saving and efficient use, strengthening the power saving mechanism from the company to its subsidiaries; implementing national programs on economical and efficient use of energy. Besides, the industry also pioneered the promotion of high-performance electrical equipment; implementing specific programs and solutions on economical and efficient use of energy, creating a shift in energy use, contributing to gradually reducing the elasticity factor (between the rate of electricity demand and GDP growth).
