Continuing the implementation of provincial Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers, the organization boards of the projects in localities have successfully carried out meaningful activities, contributing to creating an affectionate spring season and an uplifting new year for young workers living away from home.

Stronger bonds

Through Tet support programs for young workers with difficult circumstances, the spirit of sharing, connection and compassion has been widely embraced within the community. The meaningful activities during the recent Tet (Lunar New Year) festival have left a profound impression, strengthening ties with migrant workers across sub- unions for young workers in the province.

Di An city’s Youth Union distributes gifts to young workers

Similar to many other sub-unions for young and female workers at lodging facilities across different localities, the 7/10 sub-union for young workers in Tay A quarter in Di An city’s Dong Hoa ward  hosted the “Welcome Spring 2025” program. Bui The Duy, Secretary of Dong Hoa ward’s Youth Union shared that during the event, officials of the project’s organization board, Youth Union leaders and members gathered for conversations, interactive games with prizes in a joyful atmostphere. This program helped young workers living away from home enjoy a happier Tet and feel more secure in their work.

Cultural and artistic programs at sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities during Tet were not only entertainment, but also created connections and feelings among employees. In addition, the grassroots Organization Board of the project coordinated with the Youth Union to organize "Spring Volunteer" programs for young people living away from home to participate in learning about cultural and historical places in the province.

A notable example is the Youth Union of Thai Hoa ward in Tan Uyen city, which organized the “Spring Volunteer” program in Thanh Hoi commune. During the event, young workers participated in meaningful activities such as visiting heroic Vietnamese mothers, paying tribute at the grave of Colonel, People’s Armed Forces Hero Tran Cong An, honoring fallen soldiers at the Thanh Hoi Martyrs' Memorial, providing support to families with revolutionary contributions and giving gifts to workers with difficult circumstances. The program helped young workers have the opportunity to visit localities and become closer, more attached and more loving to the land and people of Binh Duong.

Creating positive motivation

The Tet care activities carried out by project steering boards at all levels have reflected a strong commitment to supporting migrant workers at lodging facilites’sub-unions. With proactive and diverse approaches, local project steering boards, in collaboration with the Youth Union and the Women's Union, have fostered a unique cultural tradition in Binh Duong. The "Spring Connection – Tet Sharing" programs held at boarding facilities provided spiritual encouragement for migrant workers. At the 37A/10B sub-union for young workers in An Binh ward’s Binh Duong 2 quarter in Di An city, the ward’s project steering board and Youth Union distributed 21 essential gift packages worth VND 300,000 each to help disadvantaged workers at lodging facilities enjoy a happier New Year.

Additionally, the project steering boards in various localities partnered with the Youth Union, Women's Union, donors to provide gifts for underprivileged youth and female workers at lodging facilities. These activities have served as a source of encouragement, helping workers overcome hardships and improve their lives.

Along with providing care, these programs also aimed at strengthening sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities, enabling them to participate in meaningful activities. Provincial project steering board prioritized this effort, directing local project steering boards to focus on implementation to ensure the effective implementation of the project in 2025. In January 2025, local project steering boards, in collaboration with the Youth Union and the Women's Union, integrated awareness campaigns, gathered feedback from young workers, expressed gratitude to proprietors and visited and encouraged Youth Union leaders. These efforts have strengthened the bond between project organizers, grassroots mass organizations and young workers, fostering a positive and proactive spirit that encourages continued participation at sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities.

Through these Tet care programs, the spirit of sharing, connection and community support has been promoted widely. The meaningful activities carried out during the recent Tet festival have left a profound impression, further connecting migrant workers at lodging facilities across the province…
