In the recent period, vocational training for rural laborers and demobees is very essential, helping them enjoy stable job and income and creating breakthrough in implementing the national goal program on poverty reduction and employment. Therefore, the project of vocational training for rural laborers has opened opportunities for laborers to approach programs on vocational training. Until now, the project has showed encouraging changes on rural laborers’ awareness on vocational learning.

A survey at the provincial Job Center indicated that the work on vocational training for rural laborers has been launched, timely meeting the society’s real demand. Specifically, the center has over the past years cooperated with agencies, sectors, mass bodies and vocational training centers at all levels to open vocational training classes for rural laborers.

The trained trades have fitted with programs on economic development and planting and species structure change, satisfying demand on labor market and program on new rural building.

Thanks to well implementation, the center in the past year trained 2,222 learners mainly at trades such as rubber latex tapping, care and planting, mushroom planting, breeding, cooking, computer repairing. After graduated from these classrooms, laborers enjoy stable jobs at rubber companies and other units with a high income.

“After courses, most of the laborers place suitable jobs by their own while some others join in advanced courses to ameliorate their skills”, Pham Van Hao, the rural laborer in Phu Giao district said.

“Tan Uyen is one of localities with an abundant workforce. This is an advantage for training and developing human resources in the locality. In addition, local authority and laborers’ awareness on vocational training for rural laborers has showed a remarkable change. Laborers always specify that they need to join in vocational training classes to enjoy a stable career and income”, said Pham Minh Sang, vice headmaster of Tan Uyen district vocational school.

He also added that the school continues to survey real demand on vocational learning, organize consultancies on vocational training for rural laborers and many more.

In the past year, Binh Duong opened 50 vocational training classes for rural laborers with the participation of 1,462 learners, winning 103.3% of its plan.
