To become an actively developing urban area of Thuan An town, An Phu ward has attempted to shift economic structure towards industrial, commercial, service development. An Phu traffic circle, the key traffic route, was constructed to promote local economic development Unlike the old An Phu commune of agriculture, An Phu ward has now over 580 businesses attracting a great number of labors. Thereby, means of subsistence have shifted from agriculture to commercial services; people’s life has been gradually improved. An Phu ward has 3,044 diverse registered businesses. Business activities at local markets, notably spontaneous markets, have been restructured, security order is ensured, environmental sanitation is better. Shopping centers, supermarkets emerge with abundant goods, special offers, and preferential prices for people, especially workers. In addition, market control, counterfeit good elimination and commercial fraud are controlled tightly. On the other hand, An Phu ward has constructed roads facilitating shipping routes of vehicles. Vice Chairman of An Phu ward’s People’s Committee said: “To implement economic restructuring towards industrial, commercial, service, home craft developing while maintaining agriculture, development orientation is that industrial development is the key industry; to create good conditions for economic entities to operate effectively and develop sustainably in order for An Phu ward to become actively developing locality”. According to Mr. Binh, in the near future, An Phu ward will continue to implement economic stabilizing approaches, enhance economic restructuring, enable infrastructural investment of businesses, and develop industry, commerce and service.
