Elderly Association of Thu Dau Mot city in emulation of example of age

In 2022, Thu Dau Mot city Elderly Association has implemented and completed the proposed programs and tasks under the emulation of example of age to be promoted and attracting a large number of elderly members, contributing to the effective implementation of local socio-economic development tasks.

Currently, the association has more than 18,000 members among 166 cultural - art, physical training - sports clubs. In 2022, the Elderly Association of the city and 14 wards visited and gave gifts to members on the occasion of holidays, Tet, celebrating longevity, visiting when sick, organizing funerals etc. at a total value of more than VND 1, 5 billion. In addition, associations at all levels have coordinated with hospitals to provide medical examination and treatment for nearly 7,500 turns of elderly people, of whom 123 have been performed with eye surgeries.

In 2023, the city Elderly Association will focus on promoting communication among associations and members about building a strong association with focus on training and fostering professional improvement for the association's staff as well as the effectiveness of club models of the elderly.
