Elderly people under free eye check-up

Provincial Young Physicians’ Association has just coordinated with the Minh Hoa Regional General Clinic in Dau Tieng district to provide free eye check-ups and medicine for elderly people in Minh Hoa commune.

Accordingly, the delegation’s doctors and nurses offered eye check-ups, medicine, glasses and gifts to 100 elderly people in Minh Hoa commune. It is known that through the free medical screening, ophthalmologists detected nearly 40 cases of cataracts with different degrees and they will be supported by provincial Young Physicians’ Association for free surgery. In addition to examining eye diseases, provincial Young Physicians’ Association also provided basic knowledge on eye care, prevention and control of eye diseases for the elderly in the commune.
