Election day will be successful and get absolute safety, provincial Party Committee Vice-Secretary, People’s Council Chairman Vu Minh Sang says

Binh Duong province have so far made good preparations to ensure the elections of the 13th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011 and 2016 tenure on Sunday, May 22 to be successful and get absolute safety. To know more about this, Binh Duong Daily had an interview with provincial Party Committee Vice-Secretary, People’s Council Chairman Vu Minh Sang.

 Could you tell us about the situation of constituents and candidates for the elections?

 All preparations for the upcoming elections in the province are now complete. Despite having difficulties, the preparatory work relating to the local constituents and candidates has also been fulfilled. As of May 15, there were 1,069,745 constituents, including 466,753 immigrant ones.

  

Election seals under inspection

For the elections, there are 13 candidates for the election of the 13th National Assembly, with 3 of them to be elected; 94 candidates for the election of the People’s Council at provincial level, with 63 of them to be elected; 396 candidates for the election of the People’s Council at district level, with 263 of them to be elected and 3,956 candidates for the election of the People’s Council at communal level, with 2,612 of them to be elected. So far, the lists of candidates for the elections together with their biography have been made public under legal regulations.

 For a successful election day, which main tasks has provincial People’s Committee stepped up before, during and after the election day?

 Provincial People’s Committee has sped up inspection of the preparatory work for the elections; instructed election sub-committees to team up with the district/town-level Election Committees to set up places to receive and report the results of the elections on May 22. Electoral units have also been ordered to announce the regulations, time and places for polling and ensure absolute safety for polling rooms before the elections begin.

In addition, provincial People’s Committee has conducted provincial Election Committee to take initiative in cooperating with the district/town-level Election Committees to check all the election work, aiming to ensure the election day to be successful and get absolute safety. After the elections end, electoral units will realize their jobs in accordance with the guidance of the provincial People’s Committee…
