Emulation movement "1 million initiatives" spread

In recent years, patriotic emulation movements launched by Trade Union of Binh Duong province have aroused the sense of responsibility and creativity of union members and employees.

Prominent patriotic emulation movements among the others are "Good Labor - Creative Labor", "1 million initiatives" programs that have attracted the participation of many union members and employees, with tens of thousands of valuable initiatives and creations.

For example, an initiative to improve the tool holding device in the mechanical processing and converting Lens materials of Bach Le Ngoc Chau, who works at technical supervision department, Saigon Stec Co., Ltd (VSIP 2).

Chau said that she noticed that finished products were damaged a lot, this prompted her to find out solutions to address this concern. Chau spent time researching, coming up with a technical solution to improve machines to operate more efficiently, reduce the number of defective products, and saving the company nearly 8 billion VND.

Similarly, Chau's colleague, Nguyen Tien Giang faced with inadequacies in the operation of machinery and equipment, he had an initiative to change drying method from Magazine to stack drying with QC code, making a profit of over 10 billion VND for the company.

And Ngo Nguyen Phong, a worker of Vision International Co., Ltd (VSIP 1), with over-14-year experience in his profession and working period at the company, has a wide knowledge of techniques and machinery operation He made improvements to help machines operate more efficiently, reduce labor, and benefit the company.

The most remarkable idea is to improve the steaming cost of molds, from manual to semi-automatic operation. This initiative of Phong helps improving labor productivity and benefits the company in terms of labor costs, electricity and gas costs, with a total value of more than 13.8 billion VND...

With these achievements, many employees were awarded certificates of merit by Provincial People's Committee in the 2022 emulation movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor".

To promote initiative and creativity

For the movement "1 million initiatives" launched by Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Binh Duong Provincial Labor Confederation registered to implement 80,000 initiatives from 1 September 2021 to 1 September 2023. In 2022, "1 million initiatives" got an enthusiastic response from union members and employees in the province.

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, by the end of phase 1 (by the end of May 31, 2022), the whole country reached nearly 697,000 initiatives, reaching the finish line by 232% compared to the plan, including thousands of initiatives of Binh Duong union members and workers.

Dao Ngoc Trung, grassroots Trade Union Chairman of Fujikura Fiber Optics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP 1), said that trade union of the company actively cooperated with Directors Board to encourage union members and employees to actively join the "1 million initiatives" program.

Since the beginning of this year, every month, there are more than 1,600 ideas, of which about 20-30% of employees' initiatives have been applied into production, saving costs and reducing materials for enterprises.

In phase 2 (from June 1, 2022 to September 1, 2023), Trade Union levels in the province will implement 56,000 more initiatives and ensure that 80,000 effective initiatives are updated on the online system. The program aims to improve the role and responsibilities of union members and trade unions at all levels in the prevention in the Covid-19 prevention control, production business recovery, and socio-economic development of the province.

In particular, the program is also to welcome the Trade Union Congress at all levels, the 11th Trade Union Congress of Binh Duong Province, and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028.

“In phase 2, the Provincial Trade Unions at all levels will continue to enhance propagation and mobilize union members and employees in agencies, units and enterprises to improve their skills, qualifications, and promote their creativity, technical improvement, develop research and application of science and technology, improvement of labor productivity, contributing to the effective implementation of the "1 million initiatives”, said Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Confederation.
