In that spirit, the province will create all favorable conditions for enterprises to invest in infrastructure construction, especially social housing units for workers, schools, medical facilities... in line with the lcal planning and provisions of the law
Removing enterprises’ difficulties
Reporting to provincial Party Committee Secretary’s delegation, Bui Manh Lan, CEO of Hung Thinh Trading - Production - Construction Joint Stock Company said that the company is currently the investor of Dong An 1 IP, Dong An 2 IP. Dong An 1 IP is now home to 94 enterprises in operation with total investment capital of over VND 3 trillion and over US$500 million, creating jobs for about 35,000 workers. Meanwhile, Dong An 2 IP started construction in 2007 and so far, 100% of the IP’s infrastructure items have been completed as planned. Currently, the IP has attracted 58 investment enterprises with total capital of over US$400 million and VND 5 trillion, creating jobs for about 6,000 workers.

Currently, the phase 2 of the 52-hectare IP has been approved for planning and is in the stage of site clearance. However, under the subdivision planning, the Ho Chi Minh City - Loc Ninh railway line cuts across the expanded area of the IP. Therefore, the company has proposed to be converted the 52-hectare expansion into a housing area for workers in Dong An 2 IP. The company also mentioned problems in the process of building the social housing area; proposed provincial agencies to soon support to remove difficulties so that the company can complete legal procedures as prescribed.
Regarding the company's recommendations, Mr. Loi asked for relevant units to give specific answers while suggesting the company to closely coordinate with departments and sectors of the province and Thu Dau Mot city to promptly solve difficulties in terms of procedures, ensuring compliance with the law.
He affirmed that Binh Duong province has always created all favorable conditions for enterprises to invest in building infrastructure, especially workers' houses, schools, medical facilities, etc. in line with provincial planning and regulations of law.
Towards green, smart industry
Visiting and working with Dong A Corrugated Iron Joint Stock Company in Dong An 2 IP, Mr. Loi recognized the efforts by the company in overcoming difficulties and the results achieved in production and business activities of the company over the past time. He believes that in the coming time, the company will overcome difficulties, continue developing, maintain the leading flag in the business community of the province in particular and the whole country in general.
Regarding the company's proposal on stable power supply for production activities, Mr. Loi said that the province will work with the Southern Power Corporation to promptly handle and ensure stable power supply. He also wanted the company to study the transformation of green energy, renewable energy, implement digital transformation, increase the rate of automation to match the policy of developing green industry, smart industry.
Regarding the company's policy of building housing for workers, provincial Party Committee Secretary said that the province has always supported and encouraged enterprises to build houses for workers. “If the construction is in accordance with the planning, the province will support procedures as much as possible. Whatever can be done for enterprises, the province will try its best ...", Mr. Loi affirmed.
Earlier, reporting to the delegation, representative of the company said that in 2022 and the first months of 2023, the company also faced many difficulties, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and global economic decline. However, thanks to having a solid foundation and always ensuring product quality, the company has still maintained its growth rate. In the first months of 2023, the company restructured its export rate with 60% and domestic consumption with 40%. The company’s traditional markets such as the US, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, and India are still maintained.
According to company leaders, the unit is now home to about 1,000 workers in Binh Duong, so the company wishes to build houses for workers, create long-term accommodations as well as retaining workers. This is because these are highly trained and skilled workers. The company expects to complete targets on production and business for 2023, ensure jobs for employees, pay for the State budget and carry out social welfare activities...
