The formation and development of Binh Duong lacquer

Based on historical documents, traditional painting profession in Vietnam has been available in Binh Duong from the previous centuries. Lacquer industry is widely developed in all localities in the province, the most concentrated is Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village. Lacquer products are popular both at home and abroad. Currently, Binh Duong has about 80 establishments and households producing lacquer with more than 500 people working, mainly concentrated in Tuong Binh Hiep ward and scattered in the province.

Although undergoing ups and downs, Binh Duong lacquer has shown a long-lasting and durable vitality, despite facing many risks and challenges, contributing to bringing Binh Duong lacquer products in particular and Vietnamese culture is generally integrated with world culture.

Binh Duong lacquer – a hundred year mark
