The elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure will take place on Sunday, May 23 ahead. In April, province-based trade unions at all levels are focusing highly on election propaganda to ensure 100% of workers to participate in the election.

Extensive propaganda

Dang Thi Kim Chi, President of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP)’s Trade Union said that VSIP’sTrade Union Standing Committee has implemented a propaganda plan on the elections among 100% of trade union locals while requesting them to wellperform electionpropaganda so that employees are fully aware of the importance of the elections. Each officer, Party member, trade unionist member, employee is responsible for propagandizing, mobilizing and guiding people to actively participate in the elections; mobilizing all voters to voluntarily exercise their rights and obligations, choosing those who are virtuous, talent and worthy to represent the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

In addition to hanging propaganda banners and leaflets at corporate headquarters, the Executive Committees of trade union locals have also exchanged information and coordinated with enterprises to create the best conditions for all employees to exercise their right to vote in accordance with the law, thereby ensuringthe election to take place successfully. Ma Van Viet, Vice-Chairman of Apparel Far Eastern Co.Ltd.’s trade union locals in VSIP I shared: “With various propaganda methods such as hanging banners, integrating propaganda contents in regular activities, organizing propaganda activities through social networks Facebook, Zalo…, the company's trade union local has propagandized the purpose, meaning and importance of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021- 2026 tenure among more than 4,700 trade unionists and employees…”.

Diversity of propaganda forms

In Ben Cat town, there are 8 industrial zones (IZs) and one production zone, creating jobs for more than 155,000 workers, over 80% of whom are immigrants. In this "sprint" period, the Trade Union of town-based IZs has promoted the emulation movement of production and business to welcome the upcoming elections while integrating election propaganda into dialogues and with workers.

In general, election propaganda for workers in the province has been done in a plentiful and diversified manner. After each working day of production, employees will remember: “Sunday, May 23 is the day we go to the election to choose virtuous, talent people who deserve to represent the will, aspirations and ownership of the people”.
