Ensuring safety for Covid-19 prevention and control in schools

Provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) has just issued a plan to ensure safety for Covid-19 prevention and control for the 2021-2022 school year in order to prepare conditions when students return to school.

Leader of provincial DoET has also asked for the Divisions of Education and Training to set up their plans on ensuring safety for Covid-19 prevention and control at their units; proactively coordinated with local authorities, health sector and relevant agencies to set up coordination plans on COVID-19 prevention and control. The units need to consolidate schools’ health network, improve professional capacity on Covid-19 prevention and control for health staff at school, managerial officials and teachers...

Province-based educational institutions need to organize the implementation of solutions on Covid-19 prevention and control; recheck and supplement essential equipment, drugs for schools’ health departments in accordance with the local Covid-19 prevention and control requirements and practical conditions as well as schools’ scale, ensuring the most effective response to the pandemic. They need to coordinate with local health authorities to provide primary healthcare, consultancy, Covid-19 prevention-control and improve  students ‘health; actively coordinate with health stations, health centers of districts, towns and cities to properly and fully implement regulations on COVID-19 prevention-control and organize the management and monitoring of the health situation of officials, teachers, staff and students. In addition, they need to closely coordinate with families in caring for and educating children, students and ensuring safety for Covid-19 prevention and control.
