To persevere in the implementation of “dual goal”

Amid the pandemic with mounting difficulties, with the spirit of persistently implementing "dual goal" with the drastic participation of the whole political system, the people and business community, socio-economic results over the first nine months of 2021 of North Tan Uyen District were promising. Namely, over the past 9 months, production value of manufacture - handicraft achieved VND 3,436 billion, up 7.85% over the same period last year. The agricultural production value was 1,771 billion VND, up 3.33% over the same period last year. Total retail sales of goods and services reached VND 3,044 billion, up 8.87% year-on-year.

With good results of Covid-19 fighting and becoming green, the authorities and people of North Tan Uyen district determine that this is the time to develop solutions to restore and develop the economy more favorably. To implement the plan of reorganizing production of enterprises in the new situation, ensuring both safe production and well implementation of disease prevention and control. Accordingly, the district cooperates with the Provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks to regularly instruct businesses in industrial zones and clusters to guarantee the strict implementation of the "three-on-site", "one-route, two-destination” or “three-green” according to the instructions. Any firms that fail to meet the prescribed conditions must temporarily stop their operations.

Chau Hoai Hieu, manager of Vina Heritage Company, KBS Industrial Park (Dat Cuoc commune), said that this company had 110 employees working according to "three-on-site" to complete orders, 100% of employees were vaccinated. As a textile dyeing company, although the pandemic is raging, they always tries to maintain production. “Currently, the company is producing backpacks, bags... ready to launch at the end of the year. The safe production plan helps the firm's production not to be disrupted, secure orders, and join hands to protect green areas of the whole district. That is also a condition for the company to continue to develop,” said Hieu.

Flexible options

According to some representatives of companies in the district, at this time, their partners have returned to work, so the number of new orders would increase in the near future. However, many workers do not want to return to work because of some difficulties. Retaining and calling for workers to return to the factory is now an urgent solution.

Along with the applied production options, the district is encouraging the expansion of the "three-green" model. Enterprises coordinate with People's Committees of communes and towns to call for lodging house's owners to let workers stay at their houses and establish Covid-19 teams at lodging houses. For example, Trieu Phu Loc Company, which is located in Hamlet 3, Tan Lap Commune, registered and was approved by the District People's Committee for production under the "three-green" model. Phan The Hai, Director of the company, said that in phase 1, the company implemented the "three-green" model with 445 workers, and is currently implementing phase 2 with nearly 700 workers. “As a company specializing in artistic wooden furniture manufacture. Our products are supplied to domestic and export partners. We are really happy to be back in production, and it is expected that soon we would resume our full capacity,” said Hai.

Thai Thanh Binh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee of North Tan Uyen District, said that the resumption of industrial production would make an important contribution to job creation, economic restructuring, improvement of living standards and income generation for the people, and motivate other industries and fields to develop together. In order for enterprises to feel assured of production and economic recovery, the district strives to ascertain difficulties, problems, and listen to recommendations of enterprises in the current situation in order to promptly consider and solve them. To carry out quick, correct and appropriate settlement of investment records of foreign enterprises and industrial zones in accordance with the planning. To assist investors to accelerate the compensation and site clearance for projects of Dat Cuoc Industrial Park (expanded), Tan Binh Industrial Park, VSIP 3 - Tan Lap Commune (phase 1)... To maximize all resources to accelerate the socio-economic recovery and development, and fulfill at a high level the set targets.

Total retail sales of goods and services over the first nine months of 2021 is estimated at VND 3,044 billion, up 8.87% over the same period last year and reaching 72.65% of the year plan. District leaders said that in the coming time, the district will continue to create all favorable conditions for all types of services to gradually resume operations, in the immediate future to prioritize businesses of essential goods.
