Province-based enterprises have shared difficulties with workers by many practical policies. This has contributed to helping workers improve their lives in the “price storm” period.

Enterprises sharing difficulties with workers

With a rapid growth, Binh Duong has welcomed a large number of laborers. They and enterprises have made contributions to the development of the province.

2013 was a year full of difficulties, so many enterprises worked ineffectively, affecting the lives of workers. In a bid to share difficulties with laborers, province-based enterprises have got involved in many practical activities such as supporting meals, lodging-room hiring cost; organizing lucky draw programs…

Ngoc Tram Woodwork Processing Co.Ltd. in Dau Tieng district’s An Lap commune now has 160 laborers, more than 70% of whom are immigrants. The company has so far built 47 rooms and 24 fourth-degree houses for workers. It is known that the company has always strived to become one of province-based enterprises with the highest salary level. The company’s directorate has also always aimed at humanity so that workers could see the company as their second home. 

An art performance for laborers

According to Dao Van Thanh, Director of Ngoc Tram Woodwork Processing Co.Ltd., salary, bonus and other social welfare policies are important elements to keep workers. The company’s directorate has spent billions of dong on building lodging-rooms and fourth-degree houses for workers. This is one of the company’s social welfare policies for workers, helping keep them. Realizing that workforce is the most important asset, the company has well realized policies on social welfare towards sustainable development.

Along with ensuring a source of stable income for laborers, Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd. has always paid more attention to their spiritual life and created a healthy working environment with many different policies on social welfare. The company has so far built a six-storey tenement house for laborers with each room of between 32sq.m and 70sq.m.

Laborers’ spiritual life improved

So far, many cultural-sports activities have been organized for laborers across the province, contributing to taking care of their spiritual life.

Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have set up clubs for female proprietors with many significant activities, including making dissemination of information about the Party and State’s policies and laws, family planning…; mobilizing members to help each other and take part in women’s movements. Besides, provincial Youth Unions and Trade Unions at all levels have regularly organized many cultural-sports activities for laborers, contributing to improving their spiritual life.

Noticeably, provincial Youth Union has set up a loan-giving program for immigrant laborers or a support fund for immigrant laborers with difficulties. Some enterprises in the province have also paid attention to enhancing laborers’ professional ability for better development.

On this occasion of the 2014 traditional Tet (lunar New Year) festival, provincial Labor Union presented 1,000 free bus tickets worth VND1bln to trade unionists to return their hometowns for Tet. Provincial Trade Unions at all levels also donated 300 free bus tickets worth VND300mln to poor members to return their hometowns for Tet. According to statistics, nearly 29,000 trade unionists and laborers were supported to return their hometowns on the occasion of the 2014 Tet festival. Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd., Thien Nam Spinning Joint Stock Co., Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Co.,…were outstanding units in the above task.

The above significant activities have not only taken care of laborers, but also expressed enterprises’ attention and responsibility to laborers, thereby creating a coherence among them.
