Essential goods prices up 5%-20%

 Till now, the prices of many essential goods have increased by 5%-2-%, said the Domestic Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

 

The prices of input materials for confectionary have continued growing up. Of these, sugar prices have been double compared to the same period last year. The prices of pork, beef and chicken meat have increased by VND5,000-VND10,000 per kg. The prices of cooking oil have also grown by 5%-10% compared to the previous Tet…

 

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the market for Tet 2010 will get animated nationwide with the shopping demand expected to increase by 20%-40% compared to the normal days. The prices of several food products will go up during the Tet 2010, due to the limited source of supply, input material prices on sharp rise (photo)…The Market Control Department has also been ordered to join hands with the price management agency to tighten control on prices of essential goods for Tet.
