Exchange marks Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year

The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos and the Laos Foreign Ministry held an exchange in Vientiane on March 15.

 

Vietnamese Ambassador Luong Quoc Huy said the exchange was aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and solidarity between the two countries during the Friendship Year launched by Vietnamese State President Truong Tan Sang and Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone.

He thanked the Lao Foreign Ministry for its cooperation and assistance to help the embassy fulfill its tasks.

Lao Deputy Foreign Minister Aloun Kittikhun praised the significance of the exchange, which contributed to fostering bilateral ties of friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.

On the same day, staffs of Vietnamese Embassy and Lao Foreign Ministry joined a footfall friendship match.

This was one of many activities organized by the Vietnamese Embassy during the Friendship Year.
