"Exchange waste for gifts" festival kicked off

On the morning of October 13, Ben Cat town’s Division of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with the town’s Women's Union and My Phuoc ward’s People's Committee to organize the 5th "Exchange waste for gifts" festival.

Accordingly, each person who brought such waste as waste paper, plastic bottles and nylon bags to the festival was given gifts, comprising of green plant pots and environmentally friendly bags.

The festival aimed at propagandizing, mobilizing and encouraging the local people to increase waste reusing and recycling activities to limit the discharge of waste into the environment, thereby contributing to saving natural resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions while effectively implementing a waste classification program at source under the town’s People’s Committee’s Plan No. 128/KH-UBND dated July 7, 2023.
