Exciting activities organized to celebrate Traditional Day of Students
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2025) and the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam Students' Association of Binh Duong Province (January 8, 2010 - January 8, 2025), the Vietnam Students' Association of Binh Duong Province has organized numerous educational activities aimed to create a healthy and engaging environment for students.

The Secretariat of Provincial Student Association has coordinated with Binh Duong University to organize the 6th "Elegant Students of Binh Duong Province" Contest in 2024. The contest attracted the participation of students from 10 universities and colleges in and outside the province, including 2 international contestants. After the preliminary rounds, at the final night, 24 contestants competed in 3 parts: uniform show; national costume show and evening gown show. After that, the Organizing Committee selected the 10 best candidates to participate in the question part which included questions focused on issues of tradition, culture, integration...
The Binh Duong province's elegant student contest is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Binh Duong Provincial Student Association. This year, from January 7 to 14, the Provincial Student Association will launch the Binh Duong Provincial Student Week 2025, calling on all levels of the Youth Union and Association to organize activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Student Association of Binh Duong province.
In particular, the Provincial Student Association will organize a program to honor "5-Good Students", "5-Good Student Collective", "January Stars", scheduled to be held on January 7 at Thu Dau Mot University. The program will take place with contents such as reviewing traditions; awarding scholarships to students having difficult circumstances; giving awards from the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee and the Secretariat of the Vietnam Student Association to individuals and collectives with many contributions to the association's work and student movements of Binh Duong province in the period 2010-2025.
Additionally, the association will host the 13th Mekong River Program in Binh Duong province, set to occur on January 16 at Thu Dau Mot University with the following contents: Art competition and performance of national costumes of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia; folk games, culinary culture exchange and Tet apricot and peach blossom decoration contest...
The Provincial Student Association will collaborate with the Provincial Youth Activity Center to organize a music exchange night on January 12. This event will serve as a weekend music playground for students, featuring activities that bring together young bands, clubs, teams, and student groups passionate about music. Additionally, there will be performances by dance groups that have won awards in activities organized by the Provincial Youth Union and Association; winners of the 4th "Binh Duong Student Singing Contest" in 2023; the presence of elegant students of Binh Duong province in 2024 and volunteer ambassadors of Binh Duong province...
To connect with Binh Duong students studying at universities outside the province, the Provincial Student Association will organize the "Warmth of Tet" program in 2024. This event will include a meeting of the Binh Duong Provincial Student Liaison Committee and will feature activities such as giving gifts to students in difficult circumstances who are unable to return home for Tet celebration, a meeting between provincial leaders and the Binh Duong Provincial Student Liaison Committee.
Education on tradition
In addition to carrying out initiatives directed by the Central Government and activities at the provincial level, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Student Association have also focused on guiding school-based Youth Unions and Student Associations. Their main objectives include organizing campaigns to educate and promote awareness about the remarkable history of Vietnamese students, as well as the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnam Student Association.
These initiatives emphasize the historical significance and tradition of the student movement, both nationally and specifically within Binh Duong province. They highlight the contributions of the student movement to the nation's revolutionary causes and efforts in building and defending the homeland. These activities aim to educate and train students while showcasing successful examples and innovative practices from Student Associations at various levels. They also promote exemplary students who excel in their studies and training.
At the same time, political activities will be launched and organized within the Youth Union at all levels of the school sector and the Vietnam Student Association. These activities will follow the theme "Strong Identity, High Aspirations, Creating the Future, Building the Country." The Association will also promote the outline and publications commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students.
Additionally, the Association will organize journeys that connect with traditional meetings of past and present Youth Union and Association leaders, including discussions and meetings with historical witnesses. There will be social activities to express gratitude, as well as projects and tasks designed for students; writing contests and promotional product contests will be organized for Association leaders, students, and members to share their feelings and memories about the Vietnam Student Association.
